Whether you walk into your home, drive your car, visit your doctor or hospital, or indulge in recreation, you will likely come in contact with a product that is the result of technology first developed by NASA. NASA missions produce scientific and technical challenges that result in many technological developments. Since 1976, over 1,600 documented NASA technologies have benefited U.S. industry, improved the quality of life, and created jobs. They are called "spinoffs" as industry has taken the concept and applied it to commercial products. The Space Shuttle Program alone has generated more than 100 technology spinoffs, utilized by medical, environmental, automotive, sports, computer and refrigeration markets. With its engineering focus on shuttle processing, Kennedy Space Center has developed materials to improve various aspects of shuttle launching and maintenance, including safety. Since 1998, there have been 40 success stories at KSC. Among the more recent are the devel...

With the retirement of NASA’s space shuttles and Russia announcing plans to eventually sink the International Space Station, 2011 hasn’t exactly shaped up to be a banner year for space exploration. But don’t tell that to China, where the feeling is far from mutual. On 29th september evening, the unmanned Tiangong-1 space lab launched into orbit aboard a Chinese Long March 2F rocket, a monumental milestone for an ascending superpower embarking on it’s own golden age of space exploration. The move is part of the China National Space Administration’s bold vision to put into operation a 60-ton space station in orbit by 2020. In the next phase, officials will launch in 2013 the Tiangong-2, a module equipped to provide three astronauts with a livable environment for about 20 days. Tiangong-3, scheduled for 2015, will enable to the astronauts to stay on-board for about twice as long, during which time they’ll conduct experiments to test regenerative life-support technology and other space ...

come back after a long time for the past few months i was not active wid my blog . im really very very sorry fr that.in the mean time the team technostallion had participated in vaious technical fests namely 'TECHNEX 2011'IN IT-BHU, 'ENGINERD 2011' in GIET,SONEPAT and few other workshops in F1 car making, aeromodelling, workshops on water rocketry systems and advance robotics. i would say that im very pleased by the way in which large no. students had participated in various technical events in various colleges and the innovativeness and enthusiasm they had shown in such events.i am also happy to see that various colleges had started organising technical events on their levels and this is indeed a good change of sign in indian education system especially higher technical education which lays more importance on practical training and innovation.i am very glad to say that team technostallion was able to grab around seven awards in various technical and management fests ...
Robots with Brains: Welcome to the World of the Humanoid Replicating human thought has been the goal of robotic inventors for centuries. From Leonardo da Vinci's 1495 anthrobot, to the cutting edge science of NASA and Japanese engineers, the objective is the same - mimicking the human form and brain. Why humanoids? The potential is immense. From household assistants, to team players in space, robots with brains are creating an exciting future. HOUSEHOLD SERVANTS Many are looking to robots to serve the elderly, ill, or bedridden. Japanese humanoids are at the forefront of this field. At Tokyo University, robots have demonstrated their ability to handle typical household tasks, such as pouring tea and washing dishes. The goal is to have humanoids that think - those who could learn from their mistakes by memorizing situations and outcomes and being able to recognize them and adjust accordingly. HONDA ASIMO The ASIMO robot is expanding horizons. Not only can it walk alongsid...
